May-Linn Paulsen Bio

I’m a 3rd year PhD student at Scripps Institution of Oceanography. The focus of my research is how we measure CO₂ system parameters in coastal and estuarine waters, specifically I’m interested in “excess” or “organic” alkalinity. Originally from Norway I enjoy rain and snow, cross country skiing, biking (with or without studded tires), and hanging out with horses. On the cruise, I’ll be measuring my favourite oceanographic parameter total alkalinity!
