Taimoor Sohail Bio

Taimoor holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Environmental Science from Lafayette College, USA. After graduating from Lafayette in 2014, he worked on climate security and climate change policy related research in Pakistan, studying in particular the socioeconomic impacts of climate change in South Asia. He has been a PhD candidate at The Australian National University since May 2016, and is researching the dynamics of Southern Ocean circulation using an idealised DNS model. Taimoor is interested in numerical modelling and oceanographic field observations, and hopes to utilise these skills in his current and future research.
